1. What is the minimum order? The minimum Mille Lacs order is 5 cases.
2. Can I buy individual pieces? No. The case pack is listed next to each item and purchases must be made in full case quantities.
3. What if I can not meet the minimum order? Go
to our "Other Links" button and click on a link to one of our
preferred distributors. Usually, they are able to accommodate your
smaller orders.
4. Do you have a preferred distributor? We have 5 Preferred Distributors around the United States. Click on their web site link below for more information.
5. How do I get a catalog?
Click on the "Request Catalog" button, fill out the catalog request form and we will gladly send a new Mille Lacs catalog directly to you, or you can simply download the catalog to your computer.
6. Do I need a hard copy of the Mille Lacs catalog as well as access to the site?
No,
not unless you feel more comfortable working from a printed copy of our
catalog. Actually, there is more information on our web site than there
is in our printed catalog.
If you would rather have a printed catalog mailed to you, please fill out the form on our site and we will gladly send you one.
7. Are any of your products Kosher?
Yes. All of our Chocolates in the component line are Kosher certified. Please contact customer service at 1-800-843-1381 for a complete listing of Kosher products available.
8. What is the lead time for orders?
The lead time for products in stock is 5 business days to ship.
9. Does Mille Lacs Gourmet Foods® offer open credit accounts?
First
time customers are encouraged to pay by credit card. If you wish, you
can click on the "Support Team" button and send an email to our Credit
Dept. for more details.
10. Do you ship orders COD?
No.
We do not ship orders COD. If your shipment is requested without
established credit, pre-payment can be made by cashiers check, credit
card or money order. Pre-payment must be received before an order can
ship.
11. Do you offer Prepaid Freight?
Yes.
The minimum order required for Prepaid Freight is $3,000.00 - per
shipment. When placing your order, check with our Customer Service
Dept. to see if your order meets the minimum for Prepaid Freight.
12. What shows do you exhibit at?
We
exhibit at several shows throughout the year. To find the next show in
your area, click on the "Calendar of Events" button on the left and you'll
find all the details there.
13. Can I get custom made gifts?
The
minimum order quantity for a custom made gift is 1,500 units, if the
hard good/re-usable is an item currently in stock. If you are looking
for a specific basket/ container for the gift to be packed in, other
than a basket/ container we are currently using in our line, then the
minimum is 5,000 gifts. If you have a specific idea in mind, please
feel free to call our Sales Department to discuss the opportunity.
However, we do not offer custom gifts of any type after July 1 for the
4th quarter business.
14. How do I take advantage of the Internet Specials?
When you are on the site, click on the button marked "Internet Specials". Please note that your special
price is shown in red text next to the everyday price. Simply add these items to your shopping
cart and the special price will be indicated upon check out. For those not comfortable with on-line
purchasing, please make a note on your faxed order or notify customer service upon calling in that
you would like to take advantage of the Internet Specials.
15. Do any of your items need refrigeration? No. Everything in our gift and component line is shelf stable.
16. Is any of your product temperature sensitive?
- All Chocolates may require refrigerated trucking or cooler with ice packs, plus
expedited shipping in warm weather areas.
- Extra shipping precautions may also be used between the months of May and October in most regions.
- 2nd Day Delivery is recommended in warm weather areas and specific months of the year.
- There will be an additional charge of $.80 each for ice packs and $7.95 per cooler.
- Please inform Mille Lacs Customer Service at the time of placing your order that you require special shipping.
17. What is the Shelf Life of your product?
- Pasteurized Process Cheese Spreads
- Foil Wrapped Components: 12 months from date of manufacture when shipped & stored at <70°F, 50% relative humidity
- Cheese Cups: (boxed, tins, wooden hoops/ beer cheese,
vacuum wrapped, cheese links, and cheese fondue) 15 months from
date of manufacture when shipped & stored at <70°F, 50% relative
humidity.
- Meats
- Summer Sausage: 6 months from date of manufacture when shipped and
stored at <70°F, 50% relative humidity. 12 months from date of
manufacture when shipped and stored at < 40°F, 50% relative
humidity.
- Canned meats: 60 months from date of manufacture when shipped and stored at <70°F.
- Salsa: 15 months from date of manufacture when
shipped and stored at <70°F, 50% relative humidity. Note: Excess UV
light will discolor.
- Crackers, Cookies, Biscuits: Crackers 9-20 months from the date of manufacture. Cookies & Biscuits 6-12 months from the date of manufacture.
- Sparkling Juice: 12-18 months from the date of manufacture.
- Mustards: 24 months from the date of manufacture.
- Jams and Jellies: 24 months from the date of manufacture when shipped and stored at <70°F.
- Popcorn Salt and Flavoring: 12 months from date of manufacture when shipped and stored at <70°F, 50% relative humidity.
- Seafood
- Salmon: 60 months from the date of manufacture.
- Caviar: 36 months from the date of manufacture.
- Lobster: Pate 36 months from the date of manufacture.
- Nuts /Dry Roast Peanuts: 9 months from the date of manufacture.
- Chocolates: 8 months from date of manufacture
when shipped and stored at <70°F, 50% relative humidity. 12 months
from date of manufacture when shipped and stored at <55°F, 50%
relative humidity. Peanut Clusters, Peanut Butter Delights, English
Toffee: 6 months from date of manufacture when shipped and stored at
<70°F, 50% relative humidity. 10 months from date of manufacture
(English toffee 8 months) when shipped and stored at <55°F, 50%
relative humidity.
- Beverages: Coffee Pouches, Cappuccino Pouches, Tea Boxes, Cocoa Boxes 12-24 months from date of manufacture.
- Gifts: 6-12 months from date of manufacture when shipped and stored at <70°F, 50% relative humidity.
